What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use local storage (localStorage) for things like the shopping basket and cookie consent. This data sits on your own device — not on a server of ours.
Necessary
Necessary functions are required for the website to work, e.g. shopping basket (localStorage), secure payment via Stripe, and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require consent under ePrivacy/GDPR, but you can delete them via the browser (functions may then stop working).
Analytics (optional)
If you accept analytics, we may load tools such as Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager to understand how the site is used (page views, devices, etc.). These are loaded only after consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via «Cookie settings» in the footer.
Marketing (optional)
If you accept marketing, we may load e.g. Meta Pixel to measure the effect of ads. These are loaded only after consent.
How we store consent
Your choices are stored locally in the browser under the key mk-consent-v1, tied to the domain you visit (e.g. www.martekristi.no). They are not sent to us as a separate database. If you switch domain (e.g. from pages.dev to your own domain), you may be asked for consent again because the browser treats it as a different origin.
Managing preferences
Use «Cookie settings» in the footer to change or withdraw consent. You can also delete localStorage/cookies in the browser.
