Withdrawal period
As a consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales (purchase online or by phone). The period is calculated from the day after you took physical possession of the goods.
For digital services or agreements that do not concern physical goods, other deadlines apply — we will state this separately where relevant.
How to withdraw
You can withdraw from the purchase within the deadline by sending an email to hei@martekristi.no with a clear statement that you wish to use the right of withdrawal. Provide your name, contact details, order number and what you wish to return.
You may also use the standard withdrawal form from the Norwegian Consumer Authority, but this is not mandatory.
Return and condition
You must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you withdrew. The work should essentially be in the same condition as when received. You cover the direct costs of returning, unless we have said that we cover return shipping or we have not informed you that you must cover it.
We may deduct from the refund if the value has been reduced more than necessary to establish the nature or function of the goods.
Refund
We refund all payments we have received from you, including standard shipping cost (but not express shipping you chose), no later than 14 days from when we received notice of withdrawal. Refund is made to the same payment method you used, unless otherwise agreed.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back, or you have documented that they have been sent.
Exceptions from the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply, among other things, to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised, goods that may deteriorate rapidly or have a short shelf life, and sealed goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons if the seal has been broken.
Unique original paintings may in some cases be exempt if they were made specially to order according to your wishes. Standard works from the online shop are normally covered by the right of withdrawal.
